Brent Heidorn, Ph.D.

Associate Dean for Research and Assessment, University of West Georgia
Dr. Brent Heidorn is the Associate Dean for Research and Assessment in the College of Education at the University of West Georgia. Prior to this appointment, He was the program coordinator of the Health and Physical Education Teacher Education program where he has served since 2007. He received his doctoral degree in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina and has been teaching health and physical education content since 1996. He has more than 150 presentations at the national, state, and district levels, including more than 50 professional development workshops. Brent is a national presenter for the Presidential Youth Fitness Program (PYFP), Physical Best, and Implementing the National Standards, all supported by SHAPE America.
